Taking a Stand for Cultural Diversity

From the “Ancient Empire”…

Collaboration across cultural boundaries has led to some of humanity’s greatest achievements throughout history. Starting with the construction of the Pyramids in Egypt, where thousands of workers, artisans and architects from different parts of the empire contributed to a common goal, the importance of collaboration and diversity is evident. This monumental achievement underscores how joint efforts can lead to extraordinary accomplishments.

… through Antiquity…

The Library of Alexandria, another marvel of the ancient world, acted as a cultural melting pot and knowledge center. It gathered scholars from all over the known world who shared and expanded their knowledge, making the library a symbol of the value of cultural and scientific exchange.

… the Middle Ages…

Between the establishment of the Library of Alexandria and the modern era, there were many epochs of cross-cultural collaboration that shaped the world. A notable example is the Islamic Golden Age, a time when scholars from different cultures worked together to expand human knowledge. Their contributions in mathematics, medicine, and other sciences paved the way for the Renaissance, an era characterized by the exchange of ideas across continents, leading to a cultural and scientific revival in Europe.

… World War II…

The Manhattan Project, driven by the common enemy of Fascism, brought together scientists of various nationalities. This collaboration led to scientific breakthroughs that changed the world and showed that even in humanity’s darkest times, unity across borders can lead to remarkable results.

… and the Cold War…

The Apollo Program, which paved humanity’s path to the Moon, stands as an example of what can be achieved when nations pool their resources and knowledge. It symbolizes how ambitious goals can be realized through the collaboration of experts from around the world.

… into the Modern Era.

Today, the International Space Station (ISS) represents the continued tradition of international cooperation in the service of progress. As a joint project of numerous countries, it is a living example of how collaboration across cultural boundaries advances research and development.

Diversity as the Cornerstone of Innovation

All these examples highlight the extraordinary achievements people are capable of when they work together across cultural boundaries. Our team is a living example of this global dynamic. In times when populist and fascist currents threaten to dominate the discourse, we consciously take a stand against the far right. People of all origins and genders are welcome with us, as we believe in the power and importance of diversity and inclusion. Our work reflects the strength of these principles and shows how essential cross-cultural cooperation is for innovation and progress.
